What is inventory management? It is the process of handling a company’s incoming and outgoing goods. This includes all processes related to the movement of products within the company. The evolution of Webship Online
Initially, Webship Fulfilment developed a static system with minimal features and flexibility. For example, there was only a basic integration for webshops running on Woocommerce. The integration worked via an external WordPress plugin (import/export), which allowed automatic export to a .csv file. This file was retrieved twice a day by the system. There was no inventory management attached. A new, interactive system was needed to support Webship Fulfilment’s growth! That’s how Webship Online was born.
Since then, the application has undergone significant updates and improvements. The design was completely overhauled to enhance usability, and new functionalities were added, including:
- Integrations with e-commerce platforms (Woocommerce, Lightspeed, Magento, …)
- Integration with Sendcloud
- Order statuses
- Digital picking
- Barcode scanning
- Communication with various hardware (scales, printers, …)
- Warehouse resource management
