A stock management system like Webship Online will never be a finished product. A warehouse is constantly evolving, and innovations will always emerge. Inventory management software plays a crucial role in this process. In the past, everything was tracked using paper files—a working method highly prone to errors. Over time, stock management systems have developed into reliable partners for all your warehouse operations.
Today, a WMS system can be quickly connected to an online store, automating all processes into a seamless flow. Such a system enhances the efficiency of your business and warehouse. But why is a WMS system never a finished product? Due to innovations and new working methods, the inventory management system must keep evolving. For example, barcode scanning was once non-existent, whereas it is now integrated into every modern system. Webship Online is a continuously evolving system designed to meet today’s demands.
What Are the Latest Updates to Webship Online?
During the peak period around Black Friday and Christmas, numerous updates were implemented in Webship Online. These are mostly small updates that provide significant added value. These small updates often go unnoticed, especially during the shopping frenzy of the last quarter. That’s why we’ve listed some of the most interesting updates below:
- When making a stock correction, duplicate numbers no longer appear when confirming the correction.
- The total amount of a sales order is no longer displayed on the packing slip.
- You can now search throughout Webship Online using barcode scanning.
- On the packing screen, after completing an order, the system will automatically jump to the first order in the queue (previously, it would jump to the second order).
- If you opt for paper picking, packing slips are printed in the same order as displayed on the screen.
- An order with the status “ready for picking” can immediately be changed to “packing” status.
- If no supplier is linked to a product in the product file, the supplier from the purchase order is automatically applied.
- Each tag (sales order, purchase order, SKU) now has a clipboard copy button.
- When creating a sales order, you can quickly add all stock of a particular product to the order (“pick all”).
- Packing slips now include a barcode. You can scan this barcode to be automatically redirected to the packing screen.
- You can bulk-delete purchase orders.
- The system now calculates the total cost of a purchase order based on the entered contents.
- Filters remain active during picking & packing.
- Purchase orders provide a clearer overview of different deliveries.
- When choosing paper picking, the pick list now displays the total number of products to be picked at each location.
